This Twin Turbo Gallardo was built to go one mile racing by
Underground Racing.
On 23rd October , 2010 at the Texas Mile, it was making just short of 2000
rwhp, where they were attempting to set a new record. The driver went through
at just under 240mph.
After pulling the chute, the back of the car got loose causing the car to leave
the track. The car then went over a mound, causing it to be air born.
Due to the extensive safety equipment, and a lot of luck, the driver walked
away from this crash without serious injury.
A local car enthusiast from Kazakhstan has made his own Rolls
Royce... using an old Mercedes. The 24 year old realized that an actual Rolls
Royce would cost over 500 thousand dollars, which was a little out of his price
range.
After travelling to Kazakhstan's capital to see his dream car in all it's
glory, he found the inspiration he'd been searching for.
In only two months - using spare parts and even materials such as play dough -
he'd completed a fantastic looking replica of his dream car.
And with a price tag of $3000, he is hoping to sell it and then start work on
another one.
